Ceremonial Gilt Burmese Black Lacquer Prayer Scroll Holder, Gold Leaf, Burma, Chinthe, Lion, Manuscripts, Document Holder

A ceremonial gold leaf and lacquer prayer scroll with lovely accents. Accents include floral decorations, geometric shapes, and a Chinthe at each end.

The bottom is marked Burma. I believe this item was made during the 1930's.

Condition:
This item has normal wear as expected with age. There is a dry split crack on the edge of each end of the hole where the scroll fits and there are small cracks here and there as well. The inside is clean and in great condition. Please see the photos for details and remember to use the zoom feature.
