Vintage Turkish Tulu Striped Rug, Tassels, Brown White and Black Stripes, 1950s, Konya, Modern Rug, Furry Carpet, Bohemian Decor, WTH-1486

This is a large, vintage tulu rug. It was hand woven in 2 panels and sewed together creating a large area rug. Roughly 8 feet x 6 feet! The main colors are black, brown and white/cream. The tassels are a cream white.

It looks wonderful as a bedspread, displayed in a basket or on the back of a couch. As a rug, it transforms an interior into a warm, worldly and welcoming environment.

If you have a large wall you aren't sure what to do with, why not hang and display an original work of tribal art.

I believe this rug to have been woven during the 1950's or 1960's. A very sophisticated looking striped pattern with tassels that have survived many years of use. Please see photos for details. I welcome any questions about this item.

Tassels are 5" one one side and 2" on the other.

Condition:
This rug is used is in very good condition overall. There is normal wear as expected with age. There is an area on the side (top image in photo # 4) where the long angora is worn. Possibly placed in a high traffic area once. A detail of the stitches can be seen in photos #4 and #5. The tassels on one side are 5" long, and 2" on other side.
