Double Sided Applique Quilt with Bow, Handmade, Feedsack, One of a Kind, Bedspread, Throw, Little Girls Room, Shabby Chic, Rare, (WTH-1406)

This vintage, handmade blanket is a spectacular piece. One that will never be found again. While one side is mostly red with a fabulous patchwork bow, the opposite side is comprised of an outstanding collection of feed sacks from the 1940 and 1950s, and potentially the 1930s.

This blanket is one of a kind, and deserves tremendous respect in my book! The unique design has countless feed sack patterns throughout. It is the result of careful and creative planning, and the meticulous execution of the striking design you see pictures before you.

Condition:
This quilt/blanket is in good condition for its age. There are areas of perfection and, as expected with age, areas of imperfection. These imperfections only add to the quilt character and charm. ♥ There are a two areas of white spotting/blemishes (bottom of photo #2 and #4). The yellow fabric of the bow has come lose from under the rick rack on one side along the where the patterned ribbon starts going outward. Other areas of the bow and quilted ribbon that goes to the right and left of the bow has areas where the rick rack and the fabric is separated, but they are small areas. There is snap tape sewn on the edges of this blanket. I believe they connected to another fabric piece on the bed or perhaps the sheet. None of these conditions can take away the fact that this is a fantastic, and charming collectible textile. Please see photos for details and remember to use the zoom feature.
