Jaru Little Girl Statue, Little Lady, Plaster/Chalkware, Girl with Bonnet Sculpture, White Sculpture, Yard Art, Shabby Chic, 1970s WTH-1350

This little lady stole my heart when I laid eyes on her. I believe her to have been lying in the same spot outside a cute little white house in Leesburg, Virginia since the 1950's. I picked her up with care and we happily welcomed her into our home.

Made in 1974, this statue was made by Jaru Art Products, a Culver City, California company. She is made of, what seems to me to be a concrete and plaster mix. Almost chalkware like, but hardier. While she has wear and is very chippy, her charm is resilient. She wears her weathered patina gracefully.

Originally she was a shiny, cream white color with a gold base and gold accents. I love that her bow and the back of the base are holding onto their gold!

A hard-to-find, and charming addition to your interior or garden. Although, I think this little lady may need some inside time to help preserve her life a bit.

Condition:
This statue is aged to perfection. It has taken her 40+ years to look this good. For better or worse, it seems as if she has been outdoors for most of her 40 years, and as a result she is very chippy. She weighs 5 pounds. Signed in the mold © Jaru 1974 (photo #5).
